feedstuff microbiology

Microbiological feedstuff analysis tests the freshness of feedstuffs and the presence of dangerous bacteria, moulds and yeast.

The microbiological feedstuff analysis tests the freshness of feedstuffs and the presence of dangerous bacteria, moulds and yeast.. This mainly involves bacteria/fungal spore counts; enrichment processes for salmonella; and Clostridium perfringens detection and counts.

Additionally, analyses for the differentiation of bacterial and mycological spoiling agents are also available, whereby this group is in itself differentiated from a product's natural bacterial flora.

More detailed testing is available for coli bacteria, listeria, and numerous other bacteria with relevance to hygiene and which can cause illness.
